Melissa began her career at an early age spending her youth in the salon, assisting both her mom and dad.
Upon relocating to sunny San Diego from a small Pennsylvania town, she graduated from cosmetology school in 2003. She spent the next 15 months under Rhys,former creative director of Vidal Sasson , honing her craft and specializing in precision hair cutting.
She continued behind the chair for the next ten years. She is trained in various techniques, such as razor cutting with Bumble & Bumble, hair extensions, Japanese hair straightening, hair color, and formal hair styling.
Melissa currently teaches cosmetology students and continues her work behind the chair. She is passionate about teaching, learning new skills, and hiking.
She lives in southern California with her husband, and 2 cats, Mustard and Mayonnaise.
